Essex Singles, still organised by Les Ainsworth, and now in
our 27th year, is essentially a way of contacting lots of
other unattached people, and hopefully finding a few friends,
of both sexes. And there are no joining fees
!

To get started it's best to communicate
first with a few others via our on-line, password
protected, "Web Community".
This is not one of your usual dating sites, full of
fictitious "personal ads". Rather, it's a commune, where you
post up a few lines about yourself, together with your email
address,
On this, you will see a persons first name, their age,
and approximate location. Many are with photographs.
They also have their direct email addresses.
The idea of the site is not so much dating (though that of
course happens);- more to just spread your wings, and if
you're new to the "singles scene", to get a feel for what's
happening.
There are absolutely no fees or charges, no "upgrades", no
"premium members" ... just lots of other people (about 800 at
the moment), living in Essex, Kent, Herts, and East
London.
Face to Face
Apart from arranging meet ups yourself with people you
contact via the site, I occasionally
organise parties, club nights and the like. But at the
moment (the first part of 2010), I'm having a holiday (!), so
there won't be any of these until the spring. However, I still
list various venues where you can enjoy a dance or whatever,
and meet other singles in the flesh, including Berties (every
Tuesday, in Seven Kings), and the Wantz, (every Thursday, in
Dagenham) which while I don't run anymore, still attract lots
of our members, and is run on the same lines I used to
adopt.
