events for single widowed men women in Essex and East London News & Events ....
Chess, Draughts, Backgammon ? If you enjoy any of these, in an informal, "cafe" style atmosphere, let me know and I'll organise such an event.

Facebook problems You haven't got a date this week ?..... there's still lots of ways to meet people:  Luverley Ladies !

Saturday 11th September
Contrary to what I said earlier in the week, there will be a Club Night tonight ! So come brush up your socialising skills with the cream of single Essex people in a relaxed, slightly nutty atmosphere, where the topic of conversation ranges from "my night out with a chess piece" to "what to do when your date turns up with their mother". All set to some great music of course ! From 8.30pm, and just £5.00, which includes refreshments & nibbles (you bring your own alcohol, if required, as usual).

Wednesday evenings we have a gathering at my place. It's a free night, with complimentary soft drinks, teas & coffees, and maybe a snack. If you fancy a tipple, please bring it with you - we've got plenty of glasses. From 8.30pm, the address is on the Community web site (if you're not on our "community" pages, you'll need to call me). So come meet a few other members face to face;- can't guarantee you'll meet the love of your life, but at least you'll have more to talk about when on your next date !

Monday Nights, you might enjoy a Singles Dance held weekly at The Lodge, Corbets Tey Road, Upminster. This is not organised by me, and nothing to do with Essex Singles, except that you'll find quite a few members there, and of course quite a few other unattached people. It costs £7.00 admission, but there's a lovely buffet. More details on http://www.westlodge.org/monday %20mingles/monday%20mingles.html

What's on near to  you ? ...
I'm looking at the idea of starting pub nights and the like at various venues around the county. None on a regular basis (unless one really catches on, and there's regular support), but enough in each area to give everyone a frequent opportunity to get out and meet some other local, unattached people.
So if you know of a venue you think might be particularly suitable, please let me know of it. I'd also like to hear from those of you that would be keen to support the idea, or even host an event yourself.

Lucky guy ! And if you've a date (lucky you !) ....

have you thought of a night at the theatre ?
There's plenty happening in the excellent theatres in Essex;- from full blown productions, to concerts, foyer gigs, and more. Check them out here

A Night at The Dogs !
... where you can not only enjoy a flutter, but have a snack or meal, a drink, sometimes with live music ... it's a great night out, and with so much activity it takes the pressure off entertaining your date.
There's only one venue in Essex, (correct me if I'm wrong), and that's the Romford Greyhound Stadium, where they meet every Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday evenings, plus Thursday afternoons. Click on the link for more details.

Or some Ballroom Dancing perhaps ... lots of suggestions at
http://www.randjdance.co.uk/ Dancing for couples and singles in Rayleigh and Brentwood, with special "Partners Corner" for those on their own !

A Club Night with Essex Singles More ideas coming soon !
If you've any suggestions, let's 'ave 'em !
